MPFC 4-0 Balscadden FC 1sts

The firsts were beaten by a strong MPFC in the Polikoff Cup quarter-final at Grangegorman Astro.

It was a harsh scoreline on Balscadden who started very well against opposition that are two divisions higher.

Sean O'Rourke and Luke Kimmage went close before MPFC scored twice in the space of five minutes to sucker-punch the visitors.

Balscadden spurned three huge chances afterwards and trailed 2-0 at the break.

They toiled on the turnaround, trying to get back into the contest, but two late goals from setpieces sealed the win for MPFC.
