Clondalkin Celtic 0-3 Balscadden FC 1sts
The firsts produced a fantastic display to beat Clondalkin Celtic in the last 16 of the Polikoff Cup.
Balscadden made a terrific start under the lights, deservedly taking the lead when Paddy Coates punished a lapse in the home defence to nip around the keeper and slot to the net.
Rob Murray made a very sharp low save to ensure it was 1-0 at the break, and on the turnaround the Scad continued to control the contest.
Just after the hour mark, Paddy made it two after great work from Sean O'Rourke teed him up to execute a superb outside-of-the-boot finish.
The game was sealed when Philly Cullen cut in from the left and picked out Paddy on the peanlty spot. He buried it for his second-hat-trick in two weeks. A great win, the lads will now face MPFC in the quarters.
