Balscadden FC 1sts 7-2 Home Farm
The firsts produced a brilliant second-half performance to beat Home Farm in Ringcommons.
The opening period was an even contest, with Home Farm taking the game to the hosts. Rob Murray had to make some crucial saves to keep the game scoreless, however Home Farm did make the breakthrough after they broke through the middle and their strike finished well.
Balscadden hit back swiftly, Sean O'Rourke whipping in a low ball for Paddy Coates, who did really well to squeeze home his finish.
After the break, Sean O'Rourke was taken down in the box after a lovely pass from Stephen Sharpe. Anto Coates buried the resultant penalty, and the floodgates opened. Paddy Coates made it 3-1 with a fine finish, Anto slotted home another spot-kick, before an og, Luke Kimmage, Paddy (for his hat-trick), and Anto Coates (also for his hat-trick) completed the scoring for Balscadden.
Home Farm did nab a second goal but it was a mere consolation as the Scad saw out a comprehensive win.
