Dublin Airport 0-3 Balscadden FC

The seconds earned an excellent win in LSL Division 3 on Saturday away to Dublin Airport.

Balscadden were terrific in the first half, with Anthony Ryan, Josh Osborne, Dion Keogh and Dan Byrne all providing an attacking threat.

We took the lead after 11 minutes when Paul Kelly's ball over the top caught Dublin Airport flat. Dion pounced on a half clearance and though the keeper got a strong hand to his shot, the ball trickled in.

Nine minutes later the lead was doubled. Josh whipped in a wicked corner and Liam Garland volleyed home at the far post.

In the 25th minute it was 3-0, and what a goal it was. Dan Byrne checked inside, gliding past three men before curling a brilliant finish beyond the keeper.

We had several more chances in the opening period but couldn't add any more to our tally.

In the second half Dublin Airport rallied. Balscadden were forced into much more defending but we stood up to it well, and were inches away from grabbing a fourth when Niall Jordan's lovely lob dropped just past the post.

It stayed 3-0 however as the lads closed out an important three points.
