The second team's winning streak came to an end on Saturday as they were beaten 2-0 by Enniskerry in Ringcommons.
Balscadden started well, creating some good chances with Josh Osborne, Colm Kiernan and Anthony Ryan all causing problems for the visitors.
However it was Enniskerry who went ahead just after the half-hour mark. A ball into the box ricocheted off a couple of players and dropped nicely for Enniskerry's striker to sot home.
It was an unfortunate piece of luck for Balscadden but the lads kept plugging away.
They suffered a hammer blow after an hour however when Enniskerry were awarded a soft penalty, which they tucked away.
Balscadden kept battling but we could not find a way back into the game and our five-game winning run came to an end.
Next up is a home league clash with Rosemount Mulvey.
