Draoicht Titans 2nds 1-8 Balscadden FC 2nds

The seconds produced an excellent performance in Ringcommons today to defeat Draoicht Titans 2nds and march into the third round of the Leinster Junior Shield.

Balscadden made a brilliant start, taking the lead after four minutes through Anthony Ryan - who was electric in the first half - after he burst past three players before slotting home.

Anto turned provider soon after when his cross dropped to Kevin McKeown, and he made no mistake from close range.

Draoicht Titans pulled one back to make it 2-1 but Dion Keogh then sprinted onto a lovely Dan Byrne pass and calmly finished past the keeper.

Early in the second half, Kev struck again, with Dion, Josh Osborne, Jack Purdue and Adam Flynn all getting in on the act to make the final score 8-1.

A very good showing from the lads and we are in the hat for the next round.
