The second team came out the wrong side of a crazy game at Greenhills/Greenpark on Saturday afternoon, falling to a 6-5 defeat.

The hosts took the lead early on but Balscadden hit back as Harry Gaffney finished from close range to equalise and further strikes from Luke Kimmage and Ciaran Murtagh put us 3-1 ahead.

Greenhills/Greenpark fought back with a quick-fire double to make it 3-3 at half-time.

Balscadden made a great start to the second half with Stephen Sharpe's brace putting us 5-3 up, but we failed to control the game and the hosts turned the match on its head with three goals in 15 minutes to make it 6-5.

In a frantic final ten minutes we squandered four big chances to equalise but it just wasn't to be as a rollercoaster match went Greenhill/Greenpark's way.

We next face Esker Celtic in Ringcommons on Saturday.
