The firsts began their LSL Sunday Premier Division campaign with a very good win against Blessington in Co Wicklow this morning. After a bright start from Balscadden, it was the hosts who broke the deadlock just before the half-hour mark. However Balscadden soon levelled. Good work from Dylan Casey earned the Scad a penalty, which was converted by Anto Coates and Dylan fired us into the lead on the stroke of half-time. Sean O'Rourke put us 3-1 up early in the second half before Blessington swiftly responded to make it 3-2. A terrific Gary McGrane volley restored Balscadden's two-goal advantage and Sean struck again to make it 5-2. Blessington pulled one back and really turned the screw in the last ten minutes but we hung on to close it out and take home the three points.
